WHAT IS INLAND?

The Inland Distribution Conference (Inland26) is a three-day event focused on North American transportation and logistics in downtown Chicago, North America’s most important trucking and intermodal freight hub. Inland is focused on the intermodal rail, trucking and drayage segments of both wholly domestic supply chains as well as those connected to international supply chains that start or terminate at North American seaports, airports and border crossings.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND INLAND?

Anyone whose business touches on the intermodal rail, trucking and drayage segments of both wholly domestic supply chains as well as those connected to international supply chains that start or terminate at North American seaports, airports and border crossings.

HOW CAN I TELL IF I'M A SHIPPER?

Shipper Definition: Shipper conference passes are reserved exclusively for cargo owners, also called shippers or BCOs who are attending INLAND primarily in the capacity of a buyer of freight transport services. This includes manufacturers, retailers, consumer products, agribusiness, and trading companies. The Journal of Commerce Events Team will verify all registrants selecting the Shipper category to ensure eligibility. The Shipper category does not apply to carriers, NVOCCs, freight forwarders, brokers, 3PLs, truckers, chassis providers, container leasing companies, or other logistics service providers. If you still have questions regarding this, please submit your query on the Events Help.

WHO DO I CONTACT IF I AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH MY REGISTRATION?

Contact the Journal of Commerce Events Team at the Events Help and a representative will respond to your query within 24 hours.

I HAVE A DISCOUNT CODE; HOW CAN I REDEEM IT?

You will be asked to enter your discount code on the “Order Summary” payment page.

HOW CAN I DO GROUP REGISTRATIONS?

Before completing your registration on the “Registration Summary”, please select “Add Group Member” button at the bottom of the registration form.

I CAN’T PROCESS MY PAYMENT DURING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS

We can only accept American Express, Visa and MasterCard credit cards for payment. If you require assistance, please contact Events Help.

REFUND TERMS AND CONDITIONS

S&P Global Market Intelligence (SPGMI) offers a cancellation plan. These Refund Terms set forth the conditions for when you may be eligible to receive a refund, which is 50% of the order value. SPGMI will not be held liable for any costs incurred by registrant due to individual registration cancellation.

Refunds will not be provided to anyone registered who does not attend the event for any reason, invoices are issued as client registers and are due even if client doesn't attend. With approval, seats may be transferred up to 48 hours or 2 days before the event with notice in writing to Events Help.

*Please note that S&P Global has the right to refuse or cancel a registration. Refunds will be given for S&P Global cancelled registrations.*

Important Information

• Refund requests will be honored if received in writing through August 31, 2026.
• All refunds will be subject to a $100 processing fee.
• Cancellations received after August 31, 2026 and 'no shows' will be subject to the full conference rate.
• Substitutions may be made by contacting the Events Help Desk.
• You must provide the name, title, and contact information for the person you are substituting.
• All on-site badge reprints will be subject to a $50 fee. 
• We can only accept American Express, Visa and MasterCard credit cards for payment.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR A VISA LETTER?

Once you have registered to attend Inland, you will receive the confirmation email upon registration. If you need an invitation letter, please submit your query on the Events Help. 

Please note that Inland does not provide visas and that you must apply through the relevant embassy.

CAN I SHARE A REGISTRATION WITH MY COLLEAGUE?

Sharing of badges is not permitted. Unauthorized badge usage will result in immediate dismissal of you and/or your company from the event without refund.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION FEE?

The registration fee includes: 

• Full access to 3 days of Inland programming, including Inland Academy running September 28-30, 2026.  Refer to website for current agenda.
• Networking breakfasts and lunches
• Evening receptions on Monday, and Tuesday

HOW TO PAY AN INVOICE BY CREDIT CARD?

To pay an invoice by credit card you will need to go back to the registration page, click register again. You will see "already registered" at the top, click there, and log in with your name and email. You will receive a login code. Once you log in with that code, you will be sent to the confirmation page. Scroll down and click on "submit payment" and the credit card payment option will appear!

• Attendance at Inland requires attendees to treat others professionally and with respect 
• If you encounter any disruptive or upsetting behavior, please notify us immediately at the registration or information desks
• Unacceptable behavior or language will result in immediate dismissal from the event without refund 
• Badges are required for access to all session rooms, partner meeting rooms, and receptions
• Badges must be properly displayed at all times
• Sharing of badges is not permitted
• All on-site badge reprints will be subject to a $50 fee
• Unauthorized badge usage will result in immediate dismissal of you and/or your company from the event without refund

WHAT INFORMATION WILL BE DISPLAYED ON MY BADGE, AND HOW CAN I CHANGE IT?

Your badge will include your full name and company as entered during registration. Once the mobile app is launched in September you can update your name, title, and company by editing your profile under your dashboard button on the bottom right.  

HOW CAN I REPORT A CODE OF CONDUCT CONCERN OR DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR?

Please bring any concerns to the immediate attention of S&P Global conference or event staff at the registration or information desks. You may also report violations of this Code of Conduct through the S&P Global Compliance Hotline. This hotline allows for reporting in a variety of languages through a secure web-based reporting tool or by calling +1-866-294-3538. Reports will be treated as confidential to the extent allowed by law.

HOW CAN I BOOK ACCOMMODATIONS?

Hotel booking information will be provided in your registration confirmation email. Please note:

• The official hotel block is only open to Inland registrants.
• Group bookings are not permitted; each registered attendee must book their own room using the email address used for conference registration.
• The registered email address used MUST match the registration record. Only one room booking is permitted per registered email address.
•  All non-registrants and duplicate reservations will be cancelled at the discretion of Event host.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK ACCOMMODATIONS?

Inland has dedicated room blocks at the Westin. Room blocks fill quickly. Plan to book your room as soon as possible. 

CAN I BOOK ACCOMMODATIONS FOR MY COLLEAGUES OR CLIENTS?

You must be a registered attendee to book a hotel room within the room block. Group bookings are not permitted; each registered attendee must book their own room using the email address used for conference registration. Only one room booking is permitted per registered email address.

HOW CAN I CONNECT WITH OTHER TPM ATTENDEES FOR 1:1 MEETINGS?

Inland is an ideal place to meet and network. The Inland App, which includes meeting scheduling, is available to registered attendees in September (Partners have early access to schedule meetings). You can use the app to search attendees by name, title, company, interest, or region, then send a meeting request or a direct message.

IS THERE A PLACE TO HOLD MEETINGS DURING INLAND?

HOW CAN I FIND TPM ATTENDEES WITH SIMILAR INTERESTS?

From the Inland App, you can sort the attendee list by name, title, company, interest, or region, then send a meeting request or a direct message. You can also visit the “Discussions” section of the Inland App to find topics and conversations of interest. 

WHO DO I REACH OUT TO FOR ASSISTANCE?

S&P Global is committed to coordinating events, to the best of our ability, that are safe, inclusive, and accessible to all, and we would be happy to assist you in creating the best experience for your attendance.

We can provide help and resources on dietary needs, hearing assistance, vision assistance, mobility assistance, and other needs or requests. Contact us at Events Help to discuss what will work best for you. 

ARE THERE QUIET PLACES TO GET AWAY FOR A BIT?

The event levels both have access to outside shared space along the river. 

WHAT KIND OF FOOD WILL BE SERVED, AND ARE DIETARY LABELS PROVIDED?

All meals and refreshments at Inland are self-service or buffet-style so you can make your own choices. Vegetarian and vegan options are part of all meal offerings and we have requested food labels to identify vegetarian and vegan dishes. Food labels will also specify common allergens, such as dairy and nuts.

Kosher and Halal meals can be requested during the conference registration process or by contacting us at Events Help. Onsite, simply request your meal from any server or banquet staff member.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE INLAND AGENDA AND ACTIVITIES?

The Inland program, including the full agenda and all related public activities, is available on the Inland website here. Approximately two weeks prior to the conference, it also will be available on the app, which you can download to your mobile device.

WHAT IS INLAND ACADEMY?

Inland Academy is a series of 45-minute educational sessions to be held on the Monday of Inland26.

Taught by seasoned professionals with deep knowledge and experience, these high-level sessions offer practical lessons that allow transportation, logistics and supply chain professionals to step away from day-to-day firefighting and gain a conceptual and practical understanding of issues they confront on a regular basis. Past Inland Academy session have included deep dives on cargo theft, LTL classification, workforce recruitment and retention, and artificial intelligence’s impact on freight.

HOW SOON CAN WE GET ACCESS TO THE PRESENTATION SLIDES OF THE SPEAKERS?

Presentation slides will be available the day of the session and the video recording will be available by the following week.
